The PG Department of English at KMV is one of the oldest departments of this 140 year old pioneering institution. It has highly qualified and committed faculty with a thirst for research and creativity. The department offers MA English, MA (English) (FYIP), Certificate Course in Spoken English, Content Writing, Public Speaking, apart from the teaching of Elective English, English Compulsory and Communication Skills, Communicative English in many disciplines. The department organised an International Conference on English Studies Across and Beyond Borders in collaboration with ESBB (English Scholars Beyond Borders), an International body of English scholars from March 6-8, 2019 besides having organised an International conference on ‘Cross Cultural Nuances’ and a UGC Sponsored National Seminar on ‘English Language Teaching: Themes, Issues and Challenges’ in the past few years.

Accomplishments
* Dr. Madhumeet, Head PG Department of English is a regular translator with Sahitya Academy and has published many short stories and stories books. Recently, she has translated the book “ Kamandal” .This book has the honour of being included in 100 must read books in‘ Legacies of the Homeland’ by Paramjeet Singh.
*Dr. Madhumeet was invited by Sahitya Academy Delhi to deliver a felicitation speech, where she shared stage with Mrs. Gursharan kaur, w/o former Indian Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and Mr. I.K. Gujaral, among others.
